By Train

  1. There is a train station in Windermere which joins the west coast main line at Oxenholme (you may need to change here)
  2. Exit the train station and turn left (the Tourist Information is left on the corner)
  3. Follow steps 3 - 7 below, this is approx 1 mile walk

By Car

  1. From the M6 turn off at junction 36
  2. On arrival in Windermere Village you will see the Windermere Hotel on the right
  3. Turn left here (Tourist Information is left on the corner) Bowness is approx.1 mile from here
  4. Continue through Windermere, through the one way system and follow the road to Bowness (Lake Road)
  5. Go past the police station on the left
  6. Go past the Beresford Pub on your left
  7. Continue past a block of flats and you will se a row of garages, again on the left-hand side. The double garage and space in front is Latimer house car park

  • Latimer house is opposite a cafe and hairdressers
  • If you pass the Royalty Cinema you have gone too far!
